Hamburger America Is In Stores!
I almost fell over. Seeing your first book on a bookstore shelf is quite the rush. Good friend and meat brother Nick from the blog Beef Aficionado was the first to report that the book had hit the shelves. I went to check for myself today and it's true. I happened to be passing a Barnes & Noble in Nanuet, NY and snapped the above pic with my phone. It's in the USA TRAVEL section among the famous Let's Go USA and the ubiquitous Roadfood. I'm in good company for sure.

Hey George - I just bought my copy at Amazon. Looking forward to having you sign it when you hit WI. I'm taking the group here at RedPrairie on a Motz burger tour...with temperatures that hit -40 below coupled with 100 inches of snow this past winter Wisconsin has been a tough place to live...but 3 burger joints that made the Motz Top 100 is a great reason to strive for spring!

I got my book the first week of April. I went to the Plaza Tavern to try a Plaza Burger, I also got the Cheese Curds on the 4th. I love curds but that was a meal on its own, lots of curds. I had my book with me and Dean was there. He read the story of the Plaza and was happy to see Mary got some ink on creating the famous sauce. Lets say he had a big grin on his face. The staff was also excited to see the book. Dotty Dumpling's Dowry is next on the list.
Great to hear! Dean should have received a copy of the book from the publisher by now but thanks for bringing yours down there for a peak. I'll hopefully be in Madison on the book tour in early May, mostly because I need a Plaza Burger fix.
